~It's Been Awhile~

It's have been far too long since my last post :( so I wanted to post something that had me in stitches.
So here's a new Waynerism for ya:

So a new thing at our house is watching the new Family Feud, ya know the really funny one with Steve Harvey, well anywho they asked like hundred people what animal would you not want to be around when they did their mating call, a contestant buzzing in with Moose. The rest of the conversation goes as followed:

Wayne: Moose. Who says Moose.

The TV: Moose is actually on the board

Mom: Yeah.

Wayne: She must live where there are a lot of Mooses.

Me: BAHAHAHA. Laughs until I cry.

So for those who do not know there is no plural of Moose, if you are referring to a group of moose it will always be moose. Mice, geese have ruined it for us all!

I Don't Care, I Love It............Goodbye the Office

I cannot believe it is over. When I first heard of the Office I have to say it did not appeal to me. It was so dry, such a strange film style. Wow was I the fool! Amazing, amazing, amazing!! I'm not ashamed to say that this final episode tonight made me laugh and cry in equal turns. It made me feel nostalgic and emotional to see all the clips of the past and how much these characters grew and changed (some not so much) over the years! I found myself saying to my screen "NO NO NO not yet" but all good things do come to an end, a sad, but happy end. The network and/or writers did an awesome job with ending things in how they should, just as awkward, confusing, and disastrous as ever.
If you have never seen the Office, please go find it, go Netflix the first season I swear you will be a fan by the end of the first episode (or at least the second!) But if you are like me and you are a current fan then I'm sure you share in my little pond of despair and will miss this show that has been apart of your life for years. So a huge thank you to the Office...............you stupidly brilliant amazing show!!!!

~~My Mad Fat Diary is My NEW Mad Fat Obsession!!~~~

Okay so...Baby Bear's birthday was the 21st (Happy Birthday again Bear who knew you threw fits!!) and it was hosted at my sister in law and brothers home!! While there Sil was telling me about this British show that was fracking hilarious and she absolutely loved it called...you guessed it.....My Mad Fat Diary. It is based on a novel on the life story of a teenage Rae Earl. The show is set in 1996 in Lincolnshire and it is about 16 yr old Rae, after just being released from a psychiatric hospital where she stayed for a few months, to be picked up by her mom, who arrives late btw and is hiding a secret boyfriend who is on the run from immigration. While on the way home she runs into an old friend Chloe and the group of friends she runs with, she tries to keep her recent past hidden all the while trying to impress this strange and funny group of people. This is literally my new favorite show this year, it is beyond amazing! Now I will recommend the show to way older teens (like 18 yrs+) due to the show can at times be crude and has a wee bit of the R rated side. But if you put some of that to the side it is so damn funny I was constantly laughing and relating to Rae who is so an unbelievable awkward and likable character as she fumbles through life. Amazing Job on the show I can't wait until there is more. Check it out on youtube.com!

Under the Light, but I'm Over the Moon~ You guessed it a review!

Under the Light is the sequel to A Certain Slant of Light by author Laura Whitcomb.
Wow! Most of the time when you get the sequel to a book that you thought was amazing the second one tends to screw everything up. That is so not the case here!
Under the Light is told from the point of view of Jenny and the ghost Helen from A Certain Slant. Basically you are getting the aftermath of what happened during the time that Jenny was possessed by Helen and how Jenny has to pick up the pieces joining forces with Billy (the gut James possessed) and them coming to discover that someone had lived both of their life's while they was gone, yes I did say possessed and gone where? Read and find out. Ha!!
It is a beautiful story filled with persons coming together and falling apart and finding your voice to stand up for your self and say "Enough already". Laura Whitcomb does a magnanimous job of transitioning between Helen and Jenny's points of view to tell a wonderful story of love and loss and what it means to let go. Thank you for writing such an amazing story that I will no doubt re-read time and again!!!

A Review: Another Little Piece ~ Kate Karyus Quinn

BOOK DESCRIPTION:
The spine-tingling horror of Stephen King meets an eerie mystery worthy of Sara Shepard’s Pretty Little Liars series in Kate Karyus Quinn’s haunting debut.
On a cool autumn night, Annaliese Rose Gordon stumbled out of the woods and into a high school party. She was screaming. Drenched in blood. Then she vanished.
A year later, Annaliese is found wandering down a road hundreds of miles away. She doesn’t know who she is. She doesn’t know how she got there. She only knows one thing: She is not the real Annaliese Rose Gordon.
Now Annaliese is haunted by strange visions and broken memories. Memories of a reckless, desperate wish … a bloody razor … and the faces of other girls who disappeared. Piece by piece, Annaliese’s fractured memories come together to reveal a violent, endless cycle that she will never escape—unless she can unlock the twisted secrets of her past.
THE REVIEW:
Another Little Piece is quite the interesting read. I spent most of my time while reading this book in a various stages of discomfort and confusion, I can’t tell you how many times I put it down positively sure I would not pick it up again only to find my curiosity getting the better of me and picking the book up right where I left off. Now I don’t want to mislead I did not finish this book, no disrespect to Kate Karyus Quinn, I just did become too uncomfortable to finish. I will say this book is geared toward an older audience, at least 17 years +. There is a lot going on in this book told in present time and also flashbacks. I felt like I was reading some twisted version of the movie Jennifer’s Body, which is strange considering how twisted that movie was to begin with. This was not my favorite book I have ever read, but I will give the author credit for her creativity and whether you read it and hate it or love it I am sure you will remember it for sometime after you’re done. There’s really no way to give away too much info without spoiling the book. I will say that if you are easily squeamish and books of a dark supernatural nature offend you then this it not you’re book.

Also a little fun from a generation of E. women:

Maybelline: A conversation of generations

Hollie: My arm is really sore from bowling last night….
Me: Why?
Hollie: I was trying to bowl a curve ball.
Me: Maybe it’s sore because you weren’t doing it right
Hollie: MayBE it’s because I’m not used to bowling like that
Mom: (From the backseat of the car) Maybe it’s Maybelline
